Novara.ie accepted for RIPE Accreditation Publish Date: 29 April 2005
Award winning Irish hosting company Novara.ie has received notification
from RIPE that the company has been accepted as a candidate member. All new
members have the status of candidate members for an initial period of six
months.
The RIPE organisation is the European Internet registry that supplies and administers the infrastructure of IP addresses that underpins the smooth
operation of the Internet. The members of RIPE consist mainly of Internet Service Providers (ISPs), telecommunication organisations and large
corporations located in Europe, the Middle East and parts of Central Asia.
According to Eoin Costello, managing director of Novara.ie "What this means
for our customers is improved redundancy and flexibility. To date we have
relied on our various data centres to provide our IP address allocations.
As part of our strategy of providing full end to end solutions to our
clients the ability to control our own IP space was desirable."
"Novara.ie are one of only a small number of Irish providers to have this
accreditation. Taken with our membership of the ISP Association of Ireland,
this is another factor behind making Novara.ie the natural choice for
quality hosting solutions for Irish corporates. "
